Computing
Intent
At Woodhouse Community Primary School, we aim to implement learning through a range of high quality, exciting but always purposeful learning experiences. We deliver learning in a variety of ways to ensure access for all our children. Experiences will vary from theoretical to practical with a range of opportunities to become digitally literate, experience of programming and essential ICT skills. The way in which we deliver learning, has been strategically planned to support people in ‘learning more, knowing more and remembering more’. When planning the implementation of computing, as a school, we use Kapow to support our planning, ensuring the children build on previous skills. Each year group also completes a digital literacy skill, through cross-curricular, at the end of each term to support our children being ready to progress to KS3.
