We recognise that the relationship between attendance and achievement of our students is inextricably linked.
Regular school attendance is crucial to maximise pupil progress and enjoyment of learning, and for this reason the school is dedicated to ensuring its attendance policy is adhered to.
You need to make sure your child attends school regularly and on time. Parents are responsible for this duty in law, you will be breaking the law if you do not do this and there are no good reasons for missing school.
Good, consistent attendance at school is crucial to give your child the best
chance of success.
Please contact the school about absence before 9am. The office will contact you after that time if no contact is made.
We are here to help with attendance as we know how important good attendance is. Mrs Norman, Kirsty and Mrs Bone are all available to offer help and support should you require it.
Please read our Attendance Policy and Attendance leaflet, which details our expectations around attendance.
Head teachers are no longer able to grant leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Holidays must be submitted to the Headteacher using a Leave of absence form. Any holiday taken will receive a formal warning and could be subject to a fixed penalty notice.
We need your support in ensuring that holidays are not taken in school time so that your child has the very best opportunity to succeed.
