Intent
At Woodhouse Community Primary School, we intend to inspire and ignite the curiosity of our pupils, enabling them to explore and experience a high-quality Art and Design education that engages, inspires and challenges. We will support pupils in learning and discovering some of the highest forms of human creativity and providing a curriculum that equips them with knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. We aim to develop ‘critical thinkers’ who gain a rigorous understanding of Art and Design. At Woodhouse Community Primary School our pupils will develop a knowledge and understanding of how Art and Design both reflect and shape our history; as well as contribute to culture, creativity and the wealth of our nation.
